This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how Logos Bible Study and its related, affiliated or subsidiary companies (“Logos” or “We”) collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our website available at https://logosbiblestudy.com/ (the “Site”), as well as other related webpages, mobile applications and products, services or content accessible through the Site (collectively the “Services”).  When we refer to “you” or “your” in this Policy we mean any individual who interacts or uses our Services. 

By using the Services, you represent that you understand and agree to this Policy, and consent to the collection, use, and sharing of information as described in this Policy. If you do not consent to our practices, you can choose not to use the Services.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Voluntarily Provide

Logos may collect information about you when you interact with our Services including information that you voluntarily provide when you use the Services, register and create an account for any of the Services, add or update your account information, complete any survey, questionnaire, submit a Contact Us inquiry, log into the Site or use the Services from one or more of your devices, or otherwise interact with the Services. Information that we collect may depend on how you interact with Logos and use the Services. A description of the types of information we may collect is described in detail below.

  • Identifiers, such as your name, alias, username or similar unique personal identifier, mailing address, email address, and telephone number

  • Profile Data, such as username and password

  • Financial Data, such as such as credit or debit card information, payment details, or other payment information

  • Commercial Information, such as details about the products and/or services you have purchased, payments you have made, details of products and/or services you have purchased from us in the past, purchase or product preferences, personal interests, message content from online contact submissions, feedback, and reviews

  • Usage Data about how you use our Services, such as statistics regarding the opening and clicking on emails sent by us, length of stay, clickstream information, and activity on the site (e.g., pages viewed, products seen, abandoned baskets, etc.)

  • Marketing and Communications Information, such as marketing campaign data, your preferences and consent in receiving marketing from us and our third parties, email and text communications, and your communication preferences

Information We Collect When You Use Our Services

Automated technologies or interactions.  As you navigate around our website or other online platforms (whether or not you have created or have logged into a user account), we may collect certain information using various technologies, which may include internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, time zone setting and location, language preferences, device type and ID, and other technical information from the devices you use to access our website or other online platforms.

Cookies and Tracking Technologies.  We and our service providers use cookies and other tracking technology to recognize your browser or device and to capture and remember certain information about your activities on our Services.  For example, some cookies gather information about how long a user spends on a web page so that we can understand what web pages are of interest to users.  If you prefer, you can choose to have your computer warn you each time a cookie is being sent, or you can choose to turn off cookies by adjusting your browser settings.  If you turn off your cookies, some of the features of the Services may not function properly. 

Google Analytics.  We use third party analytics providers such as Google Analytics, to assist us in better understanding how users use our Services. These providers collect usage data, including IP address and usage data, such as the length of time a user spends on a page, the pages a user visits, and the websites a user visits before and after visiting our Site. In addition to reporting usage statistics, Google Analytics can also be used to help show more relevant ads on Google properties (like Google Search) and across the web. Information We Collect From Third Parties.  

We may collect information from various third parties, including those listed below.  The collection, use, and disclosure of information received from third parties may be governed by third-party privacy policies identified where the information was submitted by the user.  Third parties may send their own cookies and pixel tags to you, and may collect information and use it in a way inconsistent with this Policy.  Please carefully review these third-party privacy policies to understand how your information may be collected, used, and disclosed by these third parties.

Third Party Service Providers. We may collect personal information from service providers, including payment processors, website hosting providers, electronic commerce providers, travel agencies, email service providers, and social media platforms.

Third Party Advertising Partners.  We may collect information about your that we receive from third-party advertising partners, including partners who host and manage various online advertisements and ad platforms.  This may be combined with the website analytics data described above.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION 

Our primary purposes in collecting your information is to provide you with information you requested or otherwise to communicate with you, to provide you with the products and/or services that you have ordered from us, and otherwise to seek to facilitate a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience with the Services and Logos.  We may also use your information for the following business purposes:

  • To provide you with recommendations for products and services that we believe would be of interest to you

HOW WE DISCLOSE YOUR INFORMATION

We disclose your personal information to third parties only in the ways that are described in this Policy and with our business partners, suppliers, and sub-contractors in order to provide you with our products and services and to perform any contract we enter into with them or you.

User Disclosures.  Some personal information is disclosed as a matter of course as a result of your use of the Services.  For example, if you choose to review a product any personal information shared via any public forum on our Services will become public information.  

Service Providers. We may use third-party service providers to perform certain business services and we may disclose personal information to such service providers as needed for them to perform these business services.  Business services provided may include, but are not limited to, hosting services, communications services, website development services, travel agencies, payment processing services, user account registration and authentication services, analytics services, survey and review services, and marketing services.

We use the Google reCAPTCHA tool to protect our website from various types of abusive processing attempts.  In order for this tool to work, reCAPTCHA analyzes various information that it collects from each visitor, which may include the IP address, mouse movements, length of stay, and other information gathered by Google.  By using reCPATCH, this data is sent to Google and used to determine whether the visitor is a natural person or an abusive automated program (e.g. bot).  You can find more information about reCAPTCHA at https://www.google.com/recaptcha.  All information captured by the Google reCAPTCHA tool is subject to Google’s Terms and Privacy Policy.

Affiliates. We may disclose personal information to our parent company, subsidiaries, other affiliates, successors, assigns, licensees, or business partners and others, who may use the information for the purposes described above.

Business Transactions. We may choose to sell, transfer, or merge all or a portion of our business or assets with one or more third parties.  Alternatively, we may seek to acquire all or a portion of the business or assets of one or more third parties.  If any of these or a similar organizational transaction happens to our business, then third parties, such as the new owners of our business, may use your personal information in the same way as set out in this Policy.

Legal Process. Subject to applicable law, we may disclose information about you (i) if we are required to do so by law, regulation, or legal process, such as a subpoena; (ii) in response to requests by government entities, such as law enforcement authorities; (iii) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical, financial, or other harm, injury, or loss; or (iv) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual unlawful activity.

COMMUNICATIONS AND OPT OUT 

By establishing an account, making a purchase, or registering to receive newsletters, you may consent to receive periodic commercial or promotional email communications from us.  You may opt out of receiving such communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions in the email.  This opt-out will not apply to operational or informational emails related to your account and purchases.  You may continue to receive promotional email messages for a short period while we process your request.

CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS 

California residents may have the right to receive information regarding our disclosure of personally identifiable information to third parties for their own direct marketing purposes, within the previous calendar year (if any).  You may obtain this information once a year and free of charge by contacting us at the address below.  

Your ‘Do Not Track’ Browser Setting.  Some web browsers incorporate a Do Not Track (“DNT”) feature that signals to the websites that you visit that you do not want to have your online activity tracked.  At this time, our Site does not respond to DNT signals.  

LINKS TO THIRD PARTY SITES  

The Services may include links and plug-ins to websites operated by third parties, such as Amazon, Spotify, iTunes, as well as embedded videos hosted on third-party sites, such as YouTube (“Third-Party Sites”).  Logos does not control any Third-Party Sites and is not responsible for any information they may collect.  The information collection practices of a Third-Party Site are governed by its privacy policy, and we recommend that you read its privacy policy if you choose to submit any personal information to or through such Third-Party Site.

CHILDREN’S PRIVACY  

The Services are intended for adult use only and is not directed towards children, minors, or anyone under the age of 18.  If you are under the age of 13, you are not authorized to provide us with any personal information.  If the parent or guardian of a child under 13 believes that the child has provided us with any personal information, the parent or guardian of that child should contact us at the email address below to have this personal information deleted from our files.

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We reserve the right to modify this Policy at any time without notice. All changes are effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Services after changes are posted constitutes your acknowledgement of the modified privacy policy and agreement to abide and be bound by that privacy policy.
